Education, Experience and Qualifications to Coach
I hold a master degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have had extensive training as a therapist in private practice, outpatient program and treatment center settings since 2009. After obtaining a license as a marriage and family therapist and starting up my private practice, I chose to become a life coach. I am a curious explorer at heart and am in awe of the human experience. I find great strength in the gratitude I have been able to cultivate for all of my life experiences, the good and the not-so-good. My greatest joys in life are inspiring others to cultivate that same gratitude, love of learning, lust with life and appreciation for our capacity of growth. I learned the hard way that life isn't as fulfilling when you seek all your fulfillment from others instead of yourself. This realization mobilized me to begin making decisions that were a reflection of my true self and live a happier life. It's my life's passion to help YOU embrace the change in your life's story and who you are destined to become.
What I do: As a coach I am patient, understanding and nonjudgmental. I work together
with my clients to achieve increased insight, self awareness, healing - and most importantly, make a plan to improve your life moving forward. It is through a trusting and honest relationship that we can transform old patterns and dissatisfaction with life into healthier choices and ways of living.
My interest in recovery + wellness: I am particularly passionate about the topics of nutrition, body image and what healthful living truly means. As a coach, woman, mother, wife, sister, friend, daughter, teammate, colleague and classmate - I have seen too many times how these issues can cause havoc in an individuals life. What starts out as an innocent interest or goal can quickly slip into something that is dangerous and difficult to manage. My mission in life, on a personal and professional level, is to assist all women in discovering, exploring and finding acceptance of their TRUE selves. Mind, body and soul.
A little more about my educational and professional experiences: I obtained my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and have worked in eating disorder rehabilitation programs including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and in my own private practice since 2010. I have worked in counseling settings since 2008. After all of this, I have chosen to coach. Coaching provides me with a freedom and ability to provide my best self to my clients.
My style: I am straightforward and genuine. I have been told I have a natural ability to form relationships with others that creates a sense of safety and self-acceptance. I think that coaching provides a space where my clients can give themselves the attention and care from themselves that they deserve. I am extremely passionate about my work. I feel so honored that I get to walk alongside each of my clients on their journey. At the end of the day, my goal is to help you define your personal meaning of what it means to live a happy life.
It would be my honor to work with you towards your goals! Please feel free to send me an e-mail or give me a call. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
